All-new seventh-generation Volkswagen Transporter gains new styling that matches the increased space, payload, and towing capacity. It comes with three powertrain options: a turbo diesel option having 109 horsepower and 168 bhp, a plugin hybrid having 229 bhp, or a triumvirate of electric motors.
Its boxy shape has grown in size to 146mm in length and 128 mm in width, and the height above the ground is below two meters. Other features include the redesigned light signature on both ends and a choice between 17 inches and 19 inches. Alloy wheels will be available.
As with any Transporter, Volkswagen will offer the T7 several body types that include passenger transport Kombi, Panel Van offering additional load compartments for goods, and Caravelle, which will offer nine seat arrangements.
Power and Performance
The 2025 Volkswagen Transporter comes with three powertrain options; a turbo diesel that has about 109 horsepower and 168 bhp, the other one is a plugin hybrid powertrain with about 229 bhp, and Lastly is a triumvirate of electric motors that have 138 horsepower and 282 bhp, and at some point in future it will be supported by even smaller battery.
Eight-speed automatic gear transmission and front-wheel drive are on most versions; all-wheel drive is available as an option. All this enables the Transporter to lug around more, weighing up to 2.8 tones more than its predecessors with around 2.5 tones.
Interior
The interior of the Volkswagen T7 is heartwarming; a standard 12-inch digital cluster and 13-inch infotainment screen welcome you inside. A multifunctional steering wheel will be used to perform many things. Volkswagen has made a smart Space-saving measure that unlocks extra cupholders and cubbyholes. It’s expected to have more additional USB ports, which have a total output of up to 230 V, and many speakers, about 14 of them.
Pricing
The price hasn’t been released yet but we expect the New 2025 Volkswagen Transporter to start at around $32,355 To higher pricing depending on the trim and option.
