For those looking for a small electric transportation vehicle, the 2027 Slate Truck, a small pickup, maybe top on the sheet. It will come as a new EV and at a low price.

It’s powered by a single electric motor with about 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. The drive setup is a Rear wheel drive, and either a 52 kWh battery or an 84.3 kWh battery will be available. 0 to 60 MPH times, the Slate claims it can accomplish in 8.0 seconds. The top speed is 90 MPH.

The interior is a setup for two people, and behind the seats, there is 34 cubic feet of space for some cargo to fit, the trunk offers 7 cubic feet, and the small bed has 37 cubes. The technology consists of a digital Gauge cluster and universal phone mount, and a USB charger is available; a tablet can be added if desired.

The range is estimated at 150 miles for a standard battery, and for an accessory battery, the distance reaches up to 240 miles. On board, an 11 kw charger is available, which can charge from 20 to 100 percent in 11 hours on a level charger; on a level 2 charger, it takes up to 5 hours. On DC, fast charging can do the same in less than 30 minutes.
Pricing is not yet confirmed, but its manufacturer will focus on $26,000 and above for a base model. Slate is currently taking reservations accompanied by a refundable $50 deposit, and deliveries are expected to begin at the end of 2026.
