Overview
The Lexus GX 2024 Model is the mid-size off-road SUV from the Lexus brand. The 2024 model introduces a new design and updates in the powertrain, along with modernized features. The new model is available with a twin-turbo V-6 engine but does not include hybrid assists.
Exterior and Interior Design
Exterior: The 2024 GX sports a distinctive boxy shape with surfaces joined by mildly rounded sharp corners. The mid-body of the Lexus spindle grille has been extended to the point where it nearly adjoins the upper grille and the narrow headlights. The rear presents a straightforward look, with full-width tail lights.
Interior: The Lexus model boasts a luxurious interior, enhanced by genuine leather upholstery available in a variety of colors. It features three-row seating with space for up to seven people. The second row can be a bench or, for a six-seater configuration, have captain’s chairs. The third row offers optional power controls, and additional options may include a cooled storage box, a heads-up display, and a digital key fob.
Infotainment: A low-positioned dash is dominated by a 14-inch touchscreen powered by Lexus’ latest operating system. Frequently used physical controls, such as climate and audio, are retained. The driver receives information from a 12.3-inch Multi-information Display (MID) and an available heads-up display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and wireless charging is now available. The standard 10-speaker audio system can be upgraded to a 21-speaker Mark Levinson Surround system.
Storage: Cargo loading is enhanced with a liftgate replacing the swinging door, and a lift-up tailgate window has been added for convenience.
Power and Performance
The 2024 GX is powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 3.4-liter engine. On the GX550, this is standard. Compared to the previous generation, the 2024 LX GX features a 10-speed automatic transmission paired with the engine to produce 349 horsepower and accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds, with a maximum speed of 100 mph. All models come with four-wheel drive, 18-inch wheels with 33-inch Terrain tires, adaptive suspensions, and crawl control features. Performance is a top priority for the LXGX 2024, with crisp steering for better handling.
