When it comes to what Toyota has to offer as the luxurious trims, the 2026 Lexus NX stands out among small SUVs. We have seen it around since 2022, with that year model featuring four powertrain options, including a standard gasoline engine, a hybrid powertrain, and a plug-in hybrid powertrain.

For 2026, the NX250 has been dropped, and it featured a four-cylinder engine that pumped out about 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, the same powertrain used by the Toyota RAV4. The starting price of the NX250 was $41,965, or $43,115 when a $1,150 destination charge is added. That’s very expensive for a car without its powertrain.

The new 2026 NX 350 is the only non-hybrid trim left and an entry point in Lexus’s lineup. It comes with a 275-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine under its hood, and it’s offered with all-wheel drive. The starting price begins at $46,120, $220 more compared to last year, and Lexus now lets you pair the F Sport package with any powertrain, unlike previously when it was fed on the NX 350 gas mode and the plug-in hybrid NX 450+.

The Lexus NX350H features a hybrid powertrain and drives on the front wheels. It’s not that quick, but it is more fuel efficient, earning an estimate of 40 mpg combined. It’s less expensive than the all-wheel-drive model, with the base price of this model starting at $45,750 for the FWD, and the AWD NX350h goes for $47,020.

The NX450+ is a plug-in hybrid and an all-wheel drive. It features a PHEV powertrain that pairs with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder connected to three electric motors that are powered by an 18 kWh battery. This setup provides a combined 302 horsepower, topping up to other trims. It has an electric-only distance of about 37 miles. The pricing climbs to $63,035 compared to last year’s $62,415.

To make charging easier, the PHEV NX has been supplied with a dual-voltage charging cord. This will make it usable in Level 1 and Level 2 chargers.
