BMW seems to have the busiest time in 2026, with the company expected to launch several products this year. In their timeline the automaker has teased a much larger sedan that would be coming soon; it is a 7 series with a facelift, and it is expected to be at the Beijing Auto Show in China running from April 24 to May 3.

The G70 will have a mid-cycle facelift, and the anticipated wait has been eased with teaser images. During the company’s annual conference that outlines what’s ahead for the BMW, CEO Oliver Zipse took the stage and discussed the new i3 and the next generation X5, but we didn’t hear much of the teased photos.

From multiple spy photos, the 2027 7 Series will still retain the large kidney grille, and the thin upper strip LED confirms that it will still have the split headlights. The new 7 series seems to be familiar with the prototype of the second-generation X7, which will be launching next year. The G70 is more a look-alike of the coming 7 series, but Zipse refers to it as an almost completely new vehicle.

The new 7 series looks like it won’t adopt the full Neue Klasse styling, but we expect major interior changes to come. The G70 will have iDrive X, leading the expectations that it will be coming with a large central touchscreen and BMW’s Panoramic Vision a wide pillar to pillar displaytthat stretches across the base of the windshield. Many of the key details are still under wraps, awaiting its launch date.

The 2027 7 series will keep the current CLAR architecture underneath and it will be available with gasoline, plug-in hybrid and fully electric i7 options but with a few changes. We may say that the new 7 series will get a new variant from the BMW Alpina sub-brand, but that is unknown for now.
