Today Porsche has released a new 911 variant: 2026 Porshe 911 Carrera 4S, Carrera 4S Cabriolet, and Targa 4S. All these cars receive an increased power, and you can’t miss the better standard equipment.
The new 4S model has a 473 horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat six, the same as found in the Carrera S lineup; this is 30 hp more than the outgoing model engine. The engine is paired to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with no manual available; the drive mode setup is all-wheel. According to Porsche, the new Carrera 4S goes from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds, and the top speed is 191 mph.
The 911 front differential is water-cooled and electromechanically controlled, just like in the last-generation car. Upgraded dumpers and hydraulics are available for more responsive and better ride quality, GTS brakes, and sport exhaust in silver color. A 20- and 21-inch wheel, just like in the previous models, is available, and the Targa 4S comes with rear axle steering.
Inside, the extended leather package is standard, and more on the dashboard and infotainment aren’t released yet, while the Targa comes with the rear seats as an option at no extra charge to get it on your 4S.
The delivery will start in the fourth quarter this year, and the pricing for each is as follows: the 911 Carrera 4S is at $156,000, the 911 Carrera Cabriolet is $170,000, and the Targa is at $171,000.
