Hyundai recalls over 568,580 Palisade SUVs due to an issue of potentially faulty seatbelt fasteners. The recall covers Palisade models from the 2020 model year to the 2025 model year.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration documents show about 1 percent of the recall population are affected by the fault; details from the document say that the seatbelt fasteners/latches on both driver seats, passenger seats, and second-row window seats may fail to properly restrain occupants, increasing chances of injury during a crash.

The document continues that owners may be warned of the problem through lower than normal click sounds when they are fastening their seat belts. The Palisade also warns with visual and auditory warnings whenever the belt becomes unfastened.
Owners are advised to insert the belt firmly, confirming it is firmly fastened or attached. Owners of the affected models are advised to take them to the nearest Hyundai dealership for inspection and replacement of the belt buckle free of charge.
The notification letter will be mailed by November 10, 2025. Also, they can check if their models are affected by visiting the NHTSA website, searching their VIN, or contacting Hyundai’s customer service at 1-855-371-9460.
