Auto Daily Diary

The interior echoes BMW’s classic IDrive system, offering ample space for two adults. Under the hood lies a choice of two potent engines: a 255 horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder and a robust 382 horsepower turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, establishing the 2024 GR Supra as Toyota‘s pinnacle of performance.

What’s New

The Anniversary Model Sports edition is adorned with features that demand admiration. Available in either white or orange, it boasts matte black wheels, striking black body side graphics, and a manually adjustable rear spoiler.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

2024 Toyota GR Supra Engine

The 2024 GR Supra offers a choice between two engines: a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder paired with a 6-speed iMT or an 8-speed automatic transmission delivering 255 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque; or a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine available with an automatic or six-speed intelligent manual transmission (iMT), pushing out an impressive 382 HP and 368 lb.-ft.

Acceleration

The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine propels the GR Supra from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds. The more powerful 3.0-liter inline-six with an eight-speed automatic transmission slashes that time to just 3.7 seconds, while the manual transmission variant completes the sprint in only 3.9 seconds.

Interior Comfort

The interior is snug yet accommodating, thanks to its double-bubble roof design that provides ample headroom for taller drivers. The resemblance to BMW’s Z4 interior will make BMW enthusiasts feel right at home.

Infotainment and Technology

2024 Toyota GR Supra infotainment

At the heart of the GR Supra‘s tech offerings is an 8.8-inch central display featuring a modified BMW IDrive interface. A digital gauge display is standard across all models. Navigation integration and Apple CarPlay are available options, along with Android Auto compatibility and one USB port. For audiophiles, a premium 12-speaker audio system delivers an immersive sound experience.

Storage Solutions

Despite its performance focus, the GR Supra offers practical storage options with approximately 10.2 cubic feet of trunk space. However, cupholders are inconveniently located where one might expect to find armrests.

Pricing and Models
