Ferrari has officially bid farewell to the Roma and has introduced its successor, which is the new 2027 Ferrari Amalfi. This sleek coupe captures the spirit of the 1950s and 1960s GTs while advancing into a fresh era of design and technology.

The 2027 Amalfi’s bodywork evolves the Roma’s flowing lines into something more architectural and sharper, giving the exterior panel a new, cleaner geometric look. The front end now features a purer sharknose shape without a conventional grille; this is to avoid the “face” motif that some previous models had.

The color, Verde Costiera, is a vivid teal inspired by the Amalfi Coast’s shimmering sea. 20-inch lightweight wheels with hollowed-out spokes reduce the weight of components that move horizontally with the wheels and reduce any visual drama. The compact rear deck hides an active spoiler, which automatically deploys to create extra downforce, helping the car stay stable at high speed.

Under the sleek design lies an updated version of Ferrari’s 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing 631 horsepower (about 640 metric cv). The replaced model, the Ferrari Roma, produced 612 horsepower and 561 lb-ft from a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8. The Amalfi accomplish 60 mph time in 3.0 seconds, and the top speed is approximately 199 mph. Ferrari reworked the camshaft so that the car’s weight reduced by nearly 3 pounds, allowing the engine to rev more hungrily.

The turbocharger spins up to 171,000 rpm, and a carefully tuned intake and exhaust system enrich the soundtrack, especially in higher revs. The brake-by-wire with ABS Evo, Slide Slip Control 6.1, and a 6D sensor constantly monitors the vehicle’s motions, making the Amalfi easy to drive yet inspiring confidence.

Inside, Ferrari embraced a dual cockpit layout that surrounds both driver and passenger with a flowing surface and digital displays. The cabin feels more spacious yet minimalistic, with emphasis on clean lines and quality materials. The steering wheel hosts physical controls, including the prominent red start button.

The digital instrument cluster is complemented by a central 10.25-inch screen and passenger-side display, giving them access to performance data and comfort settings. Although the Amalfi is a 2+2 coupe, the rear seats are best for short trips or extra luggage. Trunk space is big enough to carry a few small suitcases.

The 2027 Ferrari Amalfi pricing to start at around $283,000 and is expected to be competing with cars like the Aston Martin Vanquish and Bentley Continental GT. Ferrari hasn’t confirmed yet an open-top version of the Amalfi; the name and lifestyle positioning suggest that a convertible may join the lineup soon.
