The 2025 Toyota RaV4 Prime is a plug-in hybrid, version of Toyota’s popular small crossover SUV .It feutures larger battery pack than in the Toyota RAV4 hybrid which runs about 42 miles with electric only power.
When driving on electric-only power and the battery energy depletes, the prime switches to gas power. For 2025, it received a new design, and some of the upgrades make it the quickest in the Toyota family aside from the GR Supra Sport Coupe. Some of the competitors to consider include the KIA Sportage plugin hybrid or the Hyundai Tucson Plugin hybrid.
The RAV4 got an up speed much better than its hybrid siblings. In its testing by Edmunds, it reached 60 Mph in an impressive 5.9 seconds, and it’s smooth and easy to drive in typical commuting conditions. The Toyota RAV4 prime ride quality is based more towards performance, delivering a smooth ride over road imperfections; the noise, either from the gasoline engine or wind, is well Managed here.
For the interior, starting with the driver’s seats, it’s spacious enough, and adjustments allow the driver to find a comfortable sitting position. The front passenger seats gets a few adjustments, making it a little uncomfortable on long trips. Much of its interior is covered by leather upholstery, and there is an available seat ventilation, which aids in hot days regulating temperature.
There is enough headroom and leg room while a big door opening helps you get in and out easily. For the infotainment and Technology, there is an available 9-inch screen, and the interaction is quick, easy, and distraction-free. It’s integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also included are physical buttons that are less destructive. The audio system receives JBL audio system upgrades.
