The Mercedes-AMG  brought serious upgrades to their W15 car this season, focusing on aero and general performance.While both Former driver Lewis Hamilton and George Russell showed improvements, the former seems to have benefited more from such upgrades. Mercedes recently explained why that was the case.

Upgrades on the W15 were tailored by the Brackley team to dovetail with Hamilton’s ultra-smooth, preserve-the-tyres-at-all-costs style of driving. The tweaks are tailor-made for the way Hamilton drives and help him exploit the full potential of the car. On the other hand, Russell has a very aggressive driving style and is still getting used to this new setup.

It means that the Mercedes engineers, particularly James Allison and Mike Elliott, have been working hard in the analysis of data and getting the car fine-tuned.
