Almost all luxury and performance car manufacturers have an SUV within their model lineup; they include Bentayga manufactured by Bentley, Urus by Lamborghini, DBS by Aston Martin, Purosangue by Ferrari, and Cullinan by Rolls-Royce.

Joining them will be McLaren; it comes after a report from Automotive News stated that the manufacturer will be launching its first SUV in 2028. The SUV, codenamed as the P47, will have five seats and 4 doors.

For the powertrain configuration, there will be an all-wheel drive and a hybrid configuration consisting of a V8 engine. “It won’t be a plug-in hybrid but will come with a more traditional hybrid setup, and to amplify the SUV performance, it will have electrical assistance.” A report from one of the retailers speaking to Automotive News.

They report releases are too shallow, but in describing its exterior, it’s referred to as sculpted and muscular, having a purely aerodynamic body and a split headlight design. The look is also seen as wagon-shaped, and it’s said that it features a large rear spoiler and diffuser. There is also an independent spine that runs the length of the car.

The SUV will be part of McLaren, able to launch a new model starting in 2028, and more information regarding the P47 will update you as soon as it lands on our news desk.
